Why This Hinge Breaks

The hinge is the one part of the Crusher Wireless that takes the full clamping force of the headband and still has to fold flat every time the headphones go in a bag. It is thin molded plastic at the pivot, and it eventually cracks there. Once it goes, the ear cup swings loose or separates entirely while the drivers, battery and electronics are all still perfectly good — which is the only reason a $10 part is worth printing at all.
