Why These Break

The foot is a thin plastic leg carrying a 20-inch fan that gets shoved across floors with a foot, knocked over by pets, and stuffed into a closet every October. The original snaps at the clip or at the neck, and then the fan either wobbles or sits on its grille. Nothing is wrong with the motor, and a fan is an awkward, bulky thing to throw out over two pieces of plastic.
