Why This Clip Breaks

The seat-pad retainer clip holds the fabric seat cover onto the booster frame, and it gets flexed every time the cover is removed for washing or re-seated afterward. That repeated flexing is what cracks or snaps the thin factory clip over time. Once it breaks, the pad no longer stays secured to the frame, and Graco does not sell this clip as a stocked spare part — leaving parents to either zip-tie the pad on or buy an entire replacement seat cover just to get this one small clip.
