Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about PartsFindr and our 3D printed parts.

About Our Parts
Are these genuine OEM / original manufacturer parts?
No — and that's actually the point. Our parts are precision 3D printed replacements, not original equipment. We engineer each part to match the original dimensions exactly, then print them in PETG — a material that's typically stronger and more durable than the thin plastic used in most OEM parts. Think of it as an upgrade, not a compromise.
What material are your parts printed in?
We primarily use PETG (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol). It's a professional-grade plastic that's impact-resistant, flexible enough not to snap, and holds up to heat and daily use far better than the brittle ABS or thin polypropylene most manufacturers use. Some specialty parts may use PLA or other materials — check the individual listing for details.
How do I know this part will fit my specific model?
Each listing clearly states the compatible makes and models in the title and description. We test fit every design before listing it. If you're unsure, just send us a message with your model number and we'll confirm compatibility before you order.
How are your parts better than cheap alternatives on Amazon?
Most cheap replacement parts are mass-produced in ABS or low-grade plastic with loose tolerances. Ours are printed on-demand to exact specifications in PETG, which means a proper fit and a part that actually lasts. We're a small family-run shop — every part leaves here with our name on it, so quality matters to us personally.
Shipping & Delivery
How long does it take to receive my order?
Most orders ship within 1–2 business days of payment. Once shipped, standard delivery typically takes 3–5 business days within the US. We print to order, so there's a short production window — but we keep common parts stocked and ready to go.
How much does shipping cost?
We offer free shipping on all catalog orders within the United States. Custom print orders include a shipping charge based on weight, which is shown in your quote before you pay.
Do you ship internationally?
Not yet — we currently ship within the United States only. We're working on expanding internationally. Contact us if you're outside the US and we'll see what we can do.
Returns & Fit
What if the part doesn't fit?
Reach out to us at partsfindr@gmail.com and we'll make it right. If the part was listed as compatible with your model and it doesn't fit, we'll reprint or refund — no hassle. Just send us a photo and your order number.
What is your return policy?
We accept returns within 30 days of delivery for unused parts in original condition. Since our parts are made to order, we ask that you contact us first so we can troubleshoot any fit issues before initiating a return — often it's a quick fix.
What if my part arrives damaged?
That's on us. Email us at partsfindr@gmail.com with a photo of the damage and your order number and we'll send a replacement right away at no charge.
Custom Prints
Can you print a part I can't find in your store?
Absolutely — that's what our Custom Print service is for. Upload your STL file and get an instant price quote. If you don't have an STL file, send us a photo or description of what you need and we'll do our best to help.
What file format do you need for custom prints?
We accept STL files, which is the most common 3D printing format. You can find free STL files on sites like Printables, Thingiverse, and Cults3D. Don't have a file? Contact us and we may be able to design one for you.
How is the price calculated for custom prints?
Custom print pricing is based on the weight of the finished part (calculated from your STL file) plus a shipping fee based on the total weight. PLA prints start at $8 minimum, PETG at $10 minimum. You'll see the full breakdown before you commit to anything.
