Why This Joint Breaks

The joint is the small plastic pivot the earcup rotates on, and it sits directly in the path of the headband's clamping force. It is loaded every time the headset is put on, taken off, laid flat or swivelled to rest on your shoulder, and it is a thin part doing all of that with very little material behind it. When it finally cracks the earcup goes loose or floppy and the headset stops sitting correctly on your head. Logitech does not sell the joint by itself, which is why a fully working headset so often ends up replaced over one small part. Ours are printed in PETG at 100% infill, the same settings the original designer found held up well in his own repair.
