Why This Cap Breaks

The Speed-Feed 375 is a bump-feed head — tapping it on the ground to advance line is exactly what cracks or snaps this cap over time, and years outdoors in UV and heat make the plastic brittle on top of that. Echo kept the SRM-225/SRM-230 model number the same while quietly switching to a new head design, so the exact-fit cap for this older Speed-Feed 375 head is genuinely hard to source — Echo doesn't sell it as a standalone part, and most aftermarket listings bundle it into 3-10 packs sized for bulk buyers rather than a single broken cap.
