Why This Clip Breaks

The nozzle clips are thin snap-fit tabs that take a flex load every time the nozzle or brush head is twisted off the body for emptying or cleaning, and repeated flexing is exactly what cracks thin plastic tabs like these over time. Once a clip snaps, the nozzle won't stay seated on the body and the vacuum is effectively out of service — Black and Decker's only official fix is buying a whole new nozzle assembly rather than the clips themselves.
